Hurricane Relief 2017

Saturday October 7, 2017
7pm to 9 pm
New Orleans native and multi media artist Epaul Julien will support Hurricane Harvey relief with a one night solo exhibition where proceeds of sales are donated to Project Row Houses, a community-based arts and culture non-profit organization in Houston. After enduring his own creative and personal challenges in the wake of Katrina, Epaul felt compelled to aide Houston’s arts community.  The road to hurricane recovery extends far after the media has moved on and programs supporting the arts are often overlooked. “Project Row Houses is a strong anchor for the community. It was a place I really enjoyed hanging out when they first opened” says Julien reflecting on his time in Houston’s Third Ward. The event will take place Saturday October 7, 2017 from 7pm to 9pm at St. Joe Lofts (923 Constance) in the New Orleans Arts District. Guests will enjoy a performance by renowned North Indian Classical Instrumental musician Atish Mukhopadhyay. This event is free and open to the public.
